A Space for Positive
Mental Health Discussion.
We provide spaces for local people to share their mental health experiences.
People can know they can meet others going through similar mental health challenges. They can use our project to create and build strong local relationships.
Supported by The National Lottery Community Fund, this project is encouraging men to make the cultural change where they feel free to be able to discuss their mental health concerns.
ABOUT US
We will be targeting men within their age groups at first, then together in cross-generational groups to bring them as one.
Young Men 16 – 24:
This is where we start to address the cultural change in how mental health is viewed amongst young men. We want to take the feeling of openness into older age groups.
Young to Middle Aged Men 25 – 44:
Addressing suicide which is now at it’s highest for the past two decades as a lead cause of death amongst UK males.
Older Men 55 plus:
We found that older men who suffer mental health episodes often find this is linked to deterioration in physical health that is connected to elderly ailments
